Dave Watrous is a senior executive and advisor with over two decades of experience helping life science organizations accelerate growth, optimize operations and scale globally. He brings a unique blend of commercial leadership, operational expertise and digital transformation know-how to his consulting work with innovators, vendors and investors.
Dave has led revenue transformation initiatives for global organizations and private equity-backed growth companies, including Danaher (Cytiva, IDBS), Covance, Cell Culture Company and Cenevo (formerly Titian Software/Labguru). His leadership spans enterprise SaaS, contract development and manufacturing for bioprocessing and advanced automation. Known for building scalable go-to market systems and strengthening sponsor-vendor partnerships, David has guided organizations through M&A integrations, business model transformations and digital maturity journeys.
As a consultant, Dave partners with clients to:
- Develop commercial growth strategies (market entry, GTM, pricing and sales acceleration)
- Drive operational excellence and transformation using his experiences with LEAN, DBS and other continuous improvement frameworks.
- Conduct commercial due diligence and market assessments for investors and boards
- Enable digital integration and AI readiness, leveraging frameworks such as ISA-88, ISA-95, FAIR and ALCOA+
Dave has been active in industry forums including BIO, BioPhorum and SLAS and has served on the boards of BioForward Wisconsin and the Laboratory Robotics Interest Group (LRIG). He is recognized for bridging the worlds of SaaS, bioprocessing and biotech innovation – helping clients deliver measurable results in competitive, regulated environments.
