Digital transformation in healthcare is challenging at even the highest tier institutions, but I’ve never encountered a hurdle that can’t be overcome by establishing relationships and building a shared vision. The old model of academic medicine where a select few make the rules that govern discovery and innovation is over. In a world of ever increasing data democratization, creating an environment that allows ideas to be discovered, tested, and refined is paramount. It requires a strategic mindset for both the building of data infrastructure and more importantly, a culture that supports innovation.

A jack-of-all-trades in precision medicine, I speak the lingo of researchers, clinicians, software developers, bioinformaticians, hospital administrations, payers, and biotech companies. Comfortable in a boardroom or tissue culture hood, at an academic meeting or a corporate shareholder call. I bring to the table a diverse toolkit of a technologist that combines medical knowledge with charisma and a boldness that comes from intellectual curiosity and a desire to facilitate positive change and increased equity in the healthcare system.
